I am building a failover cluster on vmware 5.5, across boxes, using HitachiVSP FC... everything is built properly at the vmware side. Because this is a test environment I am using 1 NIC only, the shared disk is ntfs and offline.
I get mixed results, when running the storage validation.
Test1
Node2: all of the tests pass except Validate simultaneous failover - the error is "Failed to arbitrate for cluster disk 0 from node node1 failure reason: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error."
Node 1 "Failed to access sector 11 on disk with identifier 9f09b353 from node node1"
Test2 first iteration
I reboot both nodes and perform a fresh validation.
Node1 "Pass all the tests
Node2 "Failed to online cluster disk 0 from node node1, failure reason: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error."
Test2 second iteration, after reboot
Node 1 "Failed to access sector 11 on disk with identifier 9f09b353 from node node1"
Node2 "Failed to access sector 11 on disk with identifier 9f09b353 from node node1"
Storage guys insist everything is good at their side.
