When configuring the nodes for MSCS h/w configuration, apart from the components being identical - is there any norm that all nodes should be of the same size (RAM size, #CPUs, #HBAs, etc)? I read somewhere that, from Windows 2008 and SQL server 2008 and above, the node sizes need not be identical. For example - my primary node has 16GB RAM and 8 CPUs & the secondary node has 8GB RAM and 4 CPUs. Can someone confirm and cite the MS article?
