how to configure WNLB properly?

Exchange 2010 sp3, Windows Server 2008 R2

first time using WNLB. the current WNLB created by supplier who cannot be reached anymore.

when i added an Exchange Hub transport to the existing cluster, and chose "multicast" as the cluster mode, our cas array is not reachable. it is only reachable from among the serves vlan. only when i switched to "unicast" where the cas array started working.

for clarity, HUB1 NIC2 ip is 192.168.1.100 and HUB2 NIC2 ip is 192.168.1.200. this are for HUB1 to HUB2 communication only. the Exchange CAS array virtual ip is 192.168.1.50 for the cluster. all have mask 255.255.255.0

the HUB1 NIC1 ip is 192.168.2.100 and the HUB2 NIC1 ip is 192.168.2.200. all have mask 255.255.255.0

i was changing a lot of things when the cluster ip suddenly started pinging. my question is, is it because i switched to "unicast" cluster mode or is it because i changed the mask for all NICs to be the same?

appreciate any help.
