Hi

I have a IBM WAS environment with 4 servers.

2 off them is load balancer (lb1 og lb2) and 2 is web servere (web1 and web2) with a KM-TEST loopback adapter.

web-1: 192.168.0.71

web-2: 192.168.0.72

Loopback: 192.168.0.73

DNS:

web-1=192.168.0.71

web-2=192.168.0.72

webshared=192.168.0.73

When I try to ping web1 and web2 from my pc, i got perfect ansver from 71 and 72.

When I try to ping web-1 from web-1 I got answer from the loopback adapter (see below)

Ping from my computer:

Ping web-1

Pinging web-1.firma.local [192.168.0.71] with 32 bytes of data:

I have tried to put 192.168.0.71 web-1.firma.local in the host file. But I still got answer from 192.168.0.73 when pinging web-1.firma.local

is there someone who can explain this?

Its is Windows 8.1 (klient) and Windows server 2012 (server)
