Need help with Windows Server 2012 NIC teaming setup

Hi there,

I’m in the middle of setting up Windows Server 2012 two nodes Hyper-V cluster. As you can see from my Visio diagram below, I have already created NIC team on Node-1. Now, before I’m going to create similar network team on second node I decided to do some testing. From Node-1 (192.168.0.5) I can ping SAN-Switch-1 (192.168.0.1) but no ping reply from the SAN-Switch-2 (192.168.0.2)?! And, also I can ping SAN Controller-0 (192.168.0.10) and SAN Controller-1 (192.168.0.12) but nothing are coming from 192.16.0.11 and 192.168.0.13?!

I’m guessing that both NIC’s in a team must be connected to the same switch?! Why Windows Server 2012 is showing green ticks then?! Its look like that I need to add two more NICs, create second NIC team and connect it to the SAN-Switch-2. I'm I right?! Would it be better to implement MPIO on the server instead of network teaming then?!

Thanks in advance.
