when creating a share on the clustered file services role in windows 2012 R1 we see the following message:
cannot connect to the S$ admin share to verify if folder 'S:\shares\data\server1\data' exists on computer 'server1'.
when visiting the failover cluster server console there are no system shares present.
short of failing the role across to the other node in the cluster (which I have to do out of hours), can anyone suggest or even explain why this happens?
