Question Regarding CSVs and Windows Server 2012

Hello,

I am running a 4 host Windows Server 2012 hypervisor failover cluster environment and I would like to know your thoughts on using multiple CSVs (5 or more) to store vhds.

I have researched the with Windows Server 2012 that it is not necessary to use 1 CSV per vhd as it was in previous versions of Windows Server. I currently have 12 CSVs (1 CSV hosts the VMs and their OS vhds), while other CSVs host vhds which hold specific data.

Is this alright to have so many CSVs or should I move the data to just a few? 1 CSV for Departmental Data vhds and 1 CSV for VMs and their OS vhds?

What is the total number of CSVs that my host cluster can work with?

Please advise and thank you in advance,
