Converting existing cluster in same datacenter to a metro cluster

Hi Experts,

Please suggest if an existing SQL 2008 cluster in same data center can be converted to a metro cluster.

Also please suggest if there are any edition restrictions to creation of a SQL metro cluster.Understanding is that it will be valid for enterprise and standard editions as for a local clsuter.
