We recently compared Windows (2012 R2) Active-Active cluster config performance against Sanbolic Melio performance, and it seems like Windows cluster is way behind when we compare the actual numbers. I am just wondering if there are any such performance
comparisons made and we have the numbers published from Microsoft.
Or is it that I am missing some configuration specific to Windows clustering, Can someone help with getting right settings for active-active cluster to get best performance.
Other observations/ questions:
1. Windows 2012 R2 is way slow, however if we install Star Wind the perofrmance gets way better
2. Should we use any specific file system like ReFS to get better performance or comparable results (as against Sanbolic, it has its own Melio FS)
3. Is it even a choice to consider to go for Windows 2012 R2 Active-Active cluster or we should just stick to Sanbolic?
4. What are the best performance number measured and published for 2012 R2 from Microsoft and where I can find them, what are the configurations/environment used for such comparison if it exists
Kind Regards,
Gangadhar
