Does anyone know how to setup a clustered file server with these cards?
nobody at LSI support has been trained on them yet, and they have no idea how to help.
The specific error when running validation is:
Model | Bus Type | Stack Type | SCSI Address | Adapter | Eligible for Validation | Disk Characteristics |
---|
LSI MR9286-8eHA SCSI Disk Device | RAID | SCSI Port | 2:1:0:0 | LSI Syncro CS 9286-8e | False | Disk bus type does not support clustering. Disk partition style is GPT. Disk type is BASIC. |
I assume this has something to do with the cards not being SAS or iSCSI or FC San, but, at the same time, HA Clustering is the entire point of these $5000 paperweights, and windows server 2012 x64 is the ONLY supported operating system...
All drives are dual port SAS. All connectors are redundant. All drives get assigned dual SAS addresses.
