After creating the cluster service, I tested the process of moving the service from one node to the other. Selected "Move this service to another node" and a box popped verifying to move to the target node. I watched the connection count remained unchanged after transition and verified that the users were not required to re-connect. I performed many failure tests (controlled shutdown of primary, crash of primary and so on) and watched as the connection count remain unchanged during migration.
Now, when I migrate the file service, the box that pops to verify the move warns that "Moving <file service> to another cluster node will disconnect any currently connected clients."
This was not the case previously and I am unable to identify the change. To my knowledge, the only addition was to add the SDD DSM for IBM SVC support but this seems an unlikely source of the issue. What else could I be missing?
