Hello everyone,
The issue I'm having is exactly as described in question asked by Kimi Chen - "Two nodes cluster creation failed".
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/97d3fa9b-c8f8-4c0c-828c-3f7061f9d101/two-nodes-cluster-creation-failed
I have this particular node that, as of last week, only likes to exist in a cluster by itself - I can neither add it to a cluster with existing member nodes, nor add any additional members to the cluster I
create specifically for that individual node...
Whenever I try to do one or the other - I get several Informational Events with IDs 1280 and 1281 in the Event Veiwer before the failure to event.
Other nodes all behave as expect - joining and leaving the clusters when told to and coexisting happily.
As luck would have it - this problematic node happens to be a Exchange Mailbox server holding the main active database. At some point last week it kicked all other DAG members out of the Failover Cluster for that DAG and is now sitting alone with no database redundancy.
Really trying to avoid the DB move to another server...
In the article linked above a MSFT employee mentions locating a duplicate object in AD and deleting it.
It's probably just me - but I don't quite understand - the duplicate of what should I be looking for.
Any help will be truly appreciated!!!
