I'm having problems with CAU, and was hoping one of you fine gentlefolk might be able to get me going in the right direction.
Running 2 x Server 2012 R2 in a small cluster with a bunch of Virtual Machines on Clustered Shared Storage, with a full page of green when conducting the 'Analyze cluster updating readiness' test.
Most of the process goes through without a hitch, the roles are drained and the server enters maintenance mode. Patches are successfully installed and the non Coordinator restarted. The server restarts and becomes visible under 'Nodes' with a status of 'Paused'
However, the Coordinator never acknowledges that the other server is back online and ready to accept Roles. I can then 'Resume - Fail Roles Back' manually which works without issue.
The only log entry is: Failed to reboot node Server-CLU-02. Details: Failed to restart "Server-CLU-02": The timeout limit (00:30:00) was reached.
Does anyone know the process behind the scenes to know how CAU is identifying if the remote server is back online? or any other troubleshooting steps? This seems to be a fairly robust process as I'm really struggling to find any information on this!
Thanks.
