We are moving our replica target Hyper-V Cluster WS2012R2 to an offsite facility soon. The amount of time it will take to bring it to full operational capacity is not known precisely, but I would estimate its going to be 4-6 hours. If the VM's on this cluster haven't received their usual delta changes every 5 minutes as they do now, at some point you must have to re-initialize replication from the source to the host. My current plan is to pause replication before we physically move the cluster hardware, and resume it when its up and running in new location.
Can anyone point me to the article which describes the conditions in which Hyper-V Replica target VM's will 'fail' and need to have an initial replication re-created, or possibly provide insight to this scenario to ensure it will be a smooth move to the offsite facility?
Cheers!
