Hi,
We have a 2 node cluster on Windows 2012 R2 Standard and suddenly the cluster name is failing to come online. Both nodes are up and have joined the cluster, the IP address for the cluster is also online, but the cluster name itself fails to come online. When I try to repair it, I get the following error.
"There was an error repairing the active directory object for 'Cluster Name':
Followed by,
"There was an error resetting the active directory password for 'Cluster Name'
I have looked into the active directory and under the computers I can see the cluster name, but don't know how to bring the cluster name online.
I should point out that I'm a DBA and not an expert in Active Directory matters :) since SQL DAG is installed on this cluster I am supposed to fix it :( - I've looked online but couldn't find a solution for this. Any advice guys?
