Hi There,
When attempting live migrate some VMs from one node to another I'm getting the "virtual machinecomputername is using processor-specific features not supported on physical computernodename'. I know why this error normally appears and how to circumnavigate it, i.e. turn on Processor Compatibility on the VM, but the source and destination CPUs are almost identical; the source has an Intel E5-2630 v3 running at 2.4GHz and the destination
has an Intel E-2630 v2 running at 2.60Ghz. The vendors are the same and AFAIK the CPUs are the same generation so there shouldn't be an issue.
To add a little more back ground the cluster was up until recently in a state where there were 3 nodes but one node (the above source node) was in a paused state. Then there was a issue where all the guests went into a paused state (still looking into that)
on the other two nodes so I had to bring the third node out of the paused state and start to move the guest VMs over to it. Since then I can't live migrate the guest VMs back to the original two nodes.
Any ideas?
