Hello,
To automatically failover to a secondary site, I understand the recommended setup for a multi-site failover cluster is to use node and file share majority with 2 nodes in each site and a file share witness in a third site. This requires 4 SQL nodes.
Would it be possible to achieve this with 3 nodes if you had two nodes in site a, 1 node in site b and a FSW in site c and removed the quorum vote for the second node in site a? You then have an uneven number of votes as required.
Kind regards,
AnvilTech
