Hello everyone,
we have a few servers that we use for storing company data. It just started with one server but quickly grew to 5 servers. As it was cheaper at the beginning and we didnt plan for it to grow so quickly, we used internal storage. So we have
- server 1 = 21 TB
- server 2 = 21 TB
- server 3 = 28 TB
- server 4 = 30 TB
- server 5 = 24 TB
It is getting more and more difficult to manage the data with a software we have developed as files are distributed accross more and more servers. Buying one fast and reliable storage system would currently cost too much money as we had to buy a lot of HDDs again, too (current ones have different sizes).
So I was wondering if you could build up a 'Storage Pool' (not sure if that is the right term in this case) accross multiple servers. The files would actually still be stored on the local servers but it should appear as one big storage (in our case 124 TB)?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Cheers
B
