Hello,
I have a two node Windows Cluster setup for the purpose of SQL AlwaysOn which works fine. I have a single network card on each server which handles all communication, we understand the risks and this is only a prototype. Servers are Server 2012 R2
I need to add another node to the WSFC Cluster (and extend a non-synchronizes AlwaysOn node ) in a separate datacenter. The Node server has single network card again but there is IP toIP connectivity between this server and the existing nodes+fileservers over a VPN.
The nodes can resolved FQDN of this new server as well as other way. All three are on the same domain. The new node has a different network obviosuly, ie. network range is different.
I am unable to add the new server into the WSFC as it fails with error
"Cluster service on node <SERVENAME> did not reach the running state. The error code is 0x5b4. For more information check the cluster log and the system event log from node <SERVENAME>. This operation returned because the timeout period expired"
Any ideas?
