We have a Server 2012 Hyper-V Cluster and every time a particular VM is backup up we get the following error...
The transaction resource manager on volume \\?\Volume{893de954-de47-11e2-93f9-be3b7a13e879} encountered an error during recovery. The resource manager will continue recovery.
As all of our VMs live in one CSV at the moment, the only way I know what VM this error is related to is that the error occurred while running a consistency check on the affected VM. So blind luck really.
Checking the registry for the mount points, I can see the volume GUID, but unfortunately that doesn't give me any clues to what VM it relates to. I'm assuming that this is a VSS volume that is used during a backup of the VM? So essentially my question is when you see this error what's the method of finding the VM that the volume GUID is relating to?
