Hi-
I've setup a Hyper-V Cluster using 2 10 Gig NICs Teamed and everything is working fine. As I look to make modifications to this cluster for better reliability / separation of function (management, VM, Cluster, live migration) I notice most people see multiple networks Cluster Network 1 ,2 ,3 , ....
Sooo my dumb question of the day is where do these additional Cluster Network come from? Are they just additional VLAN's that are trunked to the physical switch ports that the NICs plug into (auto discovered)? At first I though
each was a physical NIC with the VLAN's IP info added, but I've seen similar example when using 2 10 Gig E NICs like I'm using. NOTE- I do not have multiple VLANs currently trunked to my physical switch ports, but will eventually.
The first cluster manager screen shot is what I'm referring to - http://www.msserverpro.com/best-practices-setting-hyper-v-cluster-networks-windows-server-2016/
Thanks!
