I am hoping someone here might have a clear answer to my question. Currently we are working on a project to migrate all the data from an old SAN that stores our Win2K8 Cluster info (Quorum, MSDTC, and SQL DBs) to a new SAN. I know for the SQL databases, the plan is to simply detach the DBs from with in SQL, stop the SQL services, move the DBs from the old drive to the new location, and then reattach, we plan to reuse the drive letter so that there won't be any real issues.
What I am having a hard time trying to figure out is how would I successfully move the MSDTC and Quorum drives, would I simply be creating a new set and deleting the current Quorum and MSDTC drives or is there a way to move the data on the MSDTC and Quorum from the current location, reuse the old drive letters and have it stored on the new SAN without having to alter any configuration or break the cluster.
Any clearification would be a lot of help.
