Cluster recommendations

Hello!

Would you please tell me what whould be better in these two cases:

There's a two node cluster - Win2012R2, Hyper-V, iSCSI disks = CSV disks.

1) I need to create  a VM  with two disks: C: and D:

Should I place DiskC.vhd and DiskD.vhd on the same CSV disk (say CSV volume 1) or it'd be better to put each VM's disk (.vhd file) on separate CSV volumes (for example , Disk1.vhd on CSV volume 1 and Disk2.vhd on CSV volume 2)?

2) Consider the case where the cluster is to host 3 VMs and there're 3 NICs that can be made available for those VMs.

What would you prefer to do: a) create a NIC team with 3 members  b) assign each "standalone" NIC to each separate VM?

I would rather deploy b) scenario because NIC team's capacity does not equal to the capacity of the 3 separate NICs:

- for example:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30160

"3.4    Interactions between Configurations and Load distribution algorithms
3.4.1    Switch Independent configuration / Address Hash distribution

This configuration will send packets using all active team members distributing the load through the use of the selected level of address hashing (defaults to using TCP ports and IP addresses to seed the hash function).

Because a given IP address can only be associated with a single MAC address for routing purposes, this mode receives inbound traffic on only one team member (the primary member). This means that the inbound traffic cannot exceed the bandwidth of one team memberno matter how much is getting sent."

Thank you in advance,

Michael
