NIC changing with HV failover nodes

Hi

We have 2 Dell Blade enclosures with 16 servers each. Most of the servers are member of multiple HV failover cluster with Windows 2012 R2 data center. All servers have 4 X NICs with 1 GB each and configured them as follows : each 2 X NICs are teamed (Switch independent) and named as Vteam and Mteam. Later created virtual switch on them as VSwitch and MSwitch and created converged networeks CVLM (for Live Migration - VLAN 25) & CVMT (For Host Management - Vlan 26) on virtual switch MSwitch. For VMs VSwitch is dedicated. We are upgrading the blade enclosure Switch with 40 Gb and NICs with 10 Gb.

We plan the whole upgrade activity as below (will upgrade one enclosure at a time, so VMs will be moved to HV cluster nodes on second enclosure)

a) Document all existing settings
b) Live migrate all VMs from the HV cluster nodes in enclosure-1 to cluster nodes in enclosure-2
c) Evict the node / nodes from cluster
d) Remove the existing converged networks
e) Remove the existing v-Switches
f) Remove existing teams
g) Replace the enclosure Switch and NICs on servers
***There won't be anymore converged networks since we will split each of the 2 physical NICs those are replaced through server BIOS into three NICs, so total 6 split NICs (we won't use the other 2 Physical NICs with 1 GB) and each of those split NICs will have a speed as following: NIC for VM - 6 GB; for Mgmt/CSV-1 GB; for LM - 3 GB
h) Team 2X NICs with 6 Gb and name as VMTeam ; 2X NICs with 1 Gb and name as MGTeam ; 2X NICs with 3 Gb and name as LMTeam
i) Create Switch as VSwitch with teamed NIC - VMTeam (keep the switch name same as other nodes in cluster)
j) Change the other 2 teamed NIC names same as other Cluster nodes (CVMT <- MGTeam, CVLM<-LMTeam)
k) Now add the nodes back to HV F/O cluster and test all

Please let us know that this is the exact procedure to be followed while replacing / upgrading server NICs

Thanks in advance
