Windows Server 2012 R2. I have created a two node cluster for a file server role, using storage managed by Storage Spaces. The physical storage consists of 12 HDDs in a JBOD, presented to each server via SAS. The configuration went as expected. However, upon examining the dependency report, I noticed that the Storage Spaces Virtual Disk is NOT dependent upon its underlying Pool (I would add an image to show what I mean, but I was denied "until we are able to verify your account").
The Pool is a cluster resource, and is managed independently of the other (file server, network, virtual disk) resources. Shouldn't it be tied to the virtual disk in the the dependency report? Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks.
