Greeting,
I am setting up a new Hyper-V Windows 2012 R2 cluster. I configured 2 external storage LUNs, which are attached to the 2 Windows 2012 R2 via iSCSI connection.
The 2 disks [1 GB and 250 GB] are online, initialized and formatted as NTFS file system on the first server and brought online on the second server. Everything seems to be properly setup until this point.
Next, I installed fail-over cluster on both servers.
The, every time I ran the cluster validation configuration, the external LUNs disappear (always) from the first server. I can see the disks disappear\reappear during the validation process.
I rebooted the serves and ran the validation configuration again and same issue occurred. It does not matter if I ran the validation from he first or the second server, the external LUNs disappear always from the first server.
The disks come back online after I right click and click bring online.
I also disconnected the disks from the servers [using iSCSI initiator] and re added them back to the server, brought them online, and format them as NTFS.
The validation report shows the storage is configured properly [no storage issues].
Please let me if you have experienced the same issue.
Thanks, Raed
