Good Afternoon,
I setup a new Hyper-V cluster 2012 R2 with 2 nodes. I am seeing the new CSV volume goes off line [No Access] periodically.
The errors I see in cluster manager:
1- The Cluster service failed to bring clustered role '672b1747-5cec-4128-ad1b-a64597e0787a' completely online or offline. One or more resources may be in a failed state. This may impact the availability of the clustered role.
2- Cluster resource 'Cluster Disk 2' of type 'Physical Disk' in clustered role '672b1747-5cec-4128-ad1b-a64597e0787a' failed
Based on the failure policies for the resource and role, the cluster service may try to bring the resource online on this node or move the group to another node of the cluster and then restart it. Check the resource and group state using Failover Cluster Manager or the Get-ClusterResource Windows PowerShell cmdlet.
The validation report indicates:
3- Failed to validate Server Message Block (SMB) share access through the IP address of the fault tolerant network driver for failover clustering (NetFT). The connection was attempted with the Cluster Shared Volumes test user account, from node HAI-USAH1-HVH06.tescogroup.com to the share on node HAI-USAH1-HVH07.tescogroup.com. The network path was not found.
4- Cluster Shared Volume 'HAI-USAH1-HVC01-CSV01' ('Cluster Disk 2') has entered a paused state because of '(c00000be)'. All I/O will temporarily be queued until a path to the volume is reestablished.
My troubleshooting steps:
rebooted both nodes.
Failed over from 1st node to the 2nd node.
Get-ClusterResource shows all services are online from both nodes.
Communication between node 1 and node 2 is validated.
I was not able to find root cause of the issue in Cluster.log.
Please advise on this issue.
Thank You
Raed
