Can we include NAS share mount path (UNC path) as part of Windows Cluster?

Hi All,

I want to know in Windows 2008 R2/Windows 2012, can we include NAS share mount path (UNC path) as part of Windows Cluster? Why I am asking because we are configuring backup of SQL DB (Normal and AlwaysON) where we need to have shared volume for storing backup logs & configuration in clients. When I mounted NAS share volume in both Physical Node, Backup software unable to detect the NAS share mount path in client backup configuration wizard but it is detecting SAN volume which are part of Windows Cluster. We - backup team do not have SAN volume except NAS.
