Windows 2012 R2 Quorum Question

Hi,

I am setting up a new Hyper-V 2012 R2 cluster using 2 nodes.

I would like to clarify the following:

1- Based on Dynamic Quorum and Dynamic disk in Windows 2012 R2, using disk witness, if the number of nodes is even, a quorum witness does have a vote. if a cluster has an odd number of votes, a quorum witness does not have a vote in the cluster.  Basically adding a new node [3rd] to the cluster would not impact the cluster functionality since the quorum witness vote will be 0?

2- Based on 2 node cluster with iSCSI base storage [all in the same data center] and using disk witness option for the cluster quorum. I do know this is a supported configuration, however, I have another iSCSI storage in a different site used for DR and backup. I do replicate the data from the main storage to the DR storage, however, the DR storage is not accessed by any hosts or VMs.

That said, would the following statement apply to the above configuration? I mean would the 2nd storage has any impact on the disk witness option [should I use different quorum option]?

Disk Witness:
Most useful for clusters with shared (not replicated) storage

Thank You

Raed
