I have recently brought a new SAN online and I am trying to find the best way to migrate data from our current SAN to our new SAN. The current SAN is used for two of our file cluster volumes. These volumes store our user home directories and our share folders. I have already created and attached the two replacement volumes on the new SAN. I would like to migrate the current data to the new SAN volumes keeping all the file permissions and share permissions in place, then swap the drive letters so the new SAN volumes are using the current drive letters. I have already created a volume for the witness disk on the new SAN and it is active. I would appreciate any advice you can give me. I would be open to suggestions for third party tools that may assist with this as well.
Thank you!
